The Presidential Scholarships are $10,000 a year scholarships. These highly competitive four-year

scholarships are awarded to three incoming freshmen who have written compelling essays demonstrating their close reading of a papal encyclical by Pope Saint John Paul II or Benedict XVI. These essays should exhibit careful reflection upon the meaning of the encyclical for Catholics at the beginning of the twenty-first century.
Students must submitletter with essay. The essay must be five to seven pages in length, double-spaced, with one-inch margins. Recipients of the College’s Presidential Scholarship must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4 during their four years and must participate in the College’s Honors Program. Finalists for the Presidential Scholarship will participate in a phone interview to determine the winners.

Submissions for the presidential scholarship must be emailed by 11:59 EST on February 1, 2018 to [email protected] or postmarked by February 1, 2018 and mailed to 511 Kearsarge Mountain Road, Warner, NH 03278.
